How create to the Planning Hierarchy for Materails without MC62

Hi SAP Gurus,

Need your help,

is there any other way to maintain the characteristic value combinations for materail and user facing the below problem while running the MC94

no characteristic value combinations exist for the selected data

For above error we proposed the solution MC62 to maintain the characteristic value or Planning Hierarchy .

but client is saying that we never use the MC62 t code so for..to maintain the characteristic value or Planning Hierarchy other material .

Can you please anybody let me know the steps and other way to maintain the characteristic value combinations or Planning Hierarchy  for material .

Hi

MC59 is another transaction to maintain planning hierarchy.

you can use this as an alternative to MC61 or MC62, and SAP doesn't recommend this as its a direct table entry

Thanks for your replyPVS R Rao....but i did not ask table for table wise maintains and just i want know the ..how we can find out ... who was maintained the previous  planning hierarchy for other materials...

Hi,

for materials no planning Hierarchy is required as it is the lowest level. first check the info structure created for the planning type used...if there are characteristics other than material then system will ask for characteristic value combinations..

Plz check the below document for flexible planning...

If i go to MC62..so many materails are available , Can please let me know ..how it is howing in MC62 and there any assignment in Materail master to assign the planning type. and also business saying that ...the below materails they didnot maitained through MC62...with out maintained through MC62..how system will shows here

my assumption is correct...characteristics are only two... plant and material...for this they maintained all the materials through MC61...and it is one time activity...no issues...

Now when you are doing planning through MC94..you have to plan at material level only....check once and come back...if possible share the screen shots of MC94.. how you are doing planning...

So ..you mean to say...first i need to maintained characteristics in MC61 for RA00019 material and after that i need run the MC94...right ?

if Yes...where i can see the MC61 changes...that is..who is maintained the rest of the materials throguh MC61.

Hi,

If you are doing planning  for material RA00019 check whether that material is already existing in the planning hierarchy through MC62. If it is not there then you have to add it. Once completing the same you can do the planning for the material through MC94...

We have given same solution to business but they are saying that we never use T .code MC62 and they are asking, How previous material maintain in MC62 t.code.

So kindly provide table or t.code to check the changes and how it maintained in T code – MC61 and MC62,

So that we will track the list and send to business.

You can check in my initial requirement.
