how to scheduling auto creation of po from pr.

hi all,

i want to create auto po from pr on daily basis.

after reading so many threads on sdn,i know the basic settings required to generate po from pr in me59n.

my question is that.

i want to more automate this function.i.e

on daily basis 200 pr are created in our company and all are released in same day.in all pr vendor is fixed during pr creation.

now i want to schedule background job by using variant concept.

if i schedule the job then how system will take the input of release pr in me59n?

how system will change the date automatically in me59n?

if posiible then pls tell me(or upload settings) step by step procedure to achieve this.

use SM36

- while creating variant of ME59n - select the value "05-release completed" in Preq. processing status. it ensures ur background job choose only the PRs which are released. otherwise you may get error after the background job.

how system will change the date automatically in me59n?

- yesterday we discussed about dynamic variant option to make the date as variable.. you can try the same option.

as suggested by you i have done settings, but have not founfd the field 05-release completed" in Preq. processing status.

we are currently using 4.7 version.

pls suggest.

May be terms and the values of Pr processing status might be different in 4.7 and ECC.. I am using ECC.. if you see PR processing status, hope you see some value with released or something related.

I hope you are aware inforecord and source list required to create PO

You need to crete varieant in ME59 selection parametres either plant or document date or company code which system picks purchase requisations.

If you set the varient dynamic document date varient system daily changes the dates and creates the PO.

Hi,

As this thread is alreday answered,expert may not answer, so better create a new thread!

Coming back to your query---To run a program , you need souce file( input data)

As in your case for automatic PO form PR, better keep input data as vendor , plant & purchase organisation and run your program everyday in a specific time(early morning hours or at midnight)

Did you try with PR processing status to get only released PRs?

Hi,

Create and schedule a background job in SM36 for program RM06BB30 (ME59N) with a variant of ME59N that selects the requisitions you wish to convert to orders.  You can schedule this job to run once or periodically depending on your requirements.

Hello Sumit,

Prerequisite for automatic po

Maintain inforecord

Check Automatic Po check box in Material master and Vender master

For scheduling agrrement u need to maintain source list
