Inbound delivery Monitor Auto GR Batch Job (VL06i) not working?

Hi Experts,

I need help as we are trying to create a batch jobfor doing Auto GR for certain vendors. We have created a batch job WS_Monitor_INB_DEL_GDRC with a variant. Unfortunately the BATCH job is failing to post goods movement in background. The Job executes successfully but fails to post any GR's.

The variant pickes up the deliveries to be posted.

I have executed the VL06i for GR with default variant and it list a lot of deliveries but fails to post the GR by batch program. ( just to make sure that if there is problem with the our variant.) but it fails with even standard SAP variant.

Any suggestion? what could be done? It is a simple batch job using standard program WS_Monitor_INB_DEL_GDRC.

I will really appreciate your expert input at the earliest.

Try with an own selection variant and scheduling the job via SM36..

Please post your batch job log, and the program log to see the issue.

this is a job log coming from a job created by clicking the background button in VL06IG, isn't it?

Because the variant is a system generated variant &00000003

Before you can schedule a job in the job schedule with SM36, then you should have defined and saved a variant from VL06IG section screen, which you then enter next to the report name in the step definition of SM36

I used the default variant thinking that there could be a problem with our variant But the Batch job with default variant is not working forget the custom variant. any clue?

what default variant? I never used default variants, I always create my own variants for the selection. Have you tried with an own selection variant and scheduling the job via SM36?

The batch job is working fine with my variant. It seem it was a client refresh issue. Every thing is working fine after recent refresh.

There is an extra transaction VL06IG for batch processing of posting GR to inbound deliveries

Yes I am trying to use the same program but we want to schedule the periodic batch job then somebody mannually executing the VL06IG.
If I click on the button Good recipt in back ground. Auto GR happens but when we schedule the BATCH Job for same using program WS_Monitor_INB_DEL_GDRC it doesn't post GR.

what could be the problem ?

what error do you get?

how is the variant defined, what fields to do you use in the variant

I don't get any error. The batch job finishes with no spool generated and no GR are posted.

I have removed the custome variant thinking if there is some problem with custome variant. but same result with using default variant?

VL06I is just a monitoring screen so it kinda makes sense that you get a list of deliveries that are due but no GR is posted.

I think you might need to create a custom program to have GR posted in the background instead.
