Material block for particular movement type 261, and allow all other movement type.

Dear All,

Need your suggestion on the below requirement:-

User has the following requirement

Client desire to receive and GRN the material so that they have traceability over its stock and use. They need to be able to perform the 201 movements to allocate some of the material to use in the engineering batch (which do not have an associated process order). They want the block placed on these materials to specifically prevent COIK 261 movement which would allocate the material to process order (process orders are used for all exhibit batches). The ultimate goal is to be able to receive and do material movement, but prevent any allocation to a process order so that we can ensure the material is not used in any exhibit batches.

So can we have the standard functionality to block the material for particular movement type 261?

Hello,

You cannot block particular movement type for a particular material only in standard SAP.

It can be achieved by using the standard COIK transaction Badi like WORKORDER_GOODSMVT with your own logic.
