Hi Experts,

Message determination in PO

Kindly help me with this error,

I have maintained the condition record and all the settings. Also, there is no requirement for my access sequence. 

Still am getting this error. Plz help me out.

Did you see the field material under access, which doesn't have any value. Did you maintain material in the purchase order?

Yes. I did mention that in PO.

The problem I see here the field Material is missing, hence you have received this error. Delete the access, save and then maintain again as new might work.

Message determination in SAP purchase orders is at header level - header level does not know about material numbers. One purchase order can have hundreds of different materials, hence a material number in the output determination does not make any sense

My understanding is, the field material is from the communication structure KOMPBEA (Item) and rest all fields are KOMKBEA (Header). Still the system not able to pick only the field material since it is from KOMPBEA. Referred few old threads and understand without using an User-exit it is not possible to determine this value (Material) automatically. Please search OSS notes, you'll find.
