We have Inbound deliveries which create PO LA Confirmations, which are transferred to MRP.
However, the MRP Element in MD04/MD05 displays the inbound delivery number followed by the PO number
When clicking on the element to display/change, the inbound delivery is opened in VL32/VL33, rather than the PO in ME22n/ME23n.
In the past, in our former company SAP set up, the LA confirmation in MD04 showed the PO and Item detail instead of the inbound del number , and when clicking on the element to display/change - the PO opened in ME22n/ME23n....(instead of the inbound del in VL32/VL33)
Does anyone know how we can change the logic to show the display and open the PO instead of the inbound delivery?
Hello,
You have a Purchasing process where you use confirmation control keys and receive goods via an inbound delivery it appear as shipping notification. When a there is shipping notification, then purchase order should not longer appear on transaction MD04 as per the design.
The shipping notification (MRP element, ShpgNt) has the same number as the corresponding purchase order.
The supplying plant display it in the stock/requirements list MD04 or MRP list MD05 in case of a shipping notification.
There is no specific MRP element in customizing transaction OMD5, therefore it is treated as shipping notification in standard SAP system.
Workaround would be use BAdI MD_DISPLAY_ELEMENT for changing the display or MRP element.

Hello, gharrison
I also met such a question as yours, I searched many pages but did not find a satisfy reply.
This is not an issue, but, may be as same as you, just interesting for it, then want to know why and how cause these 2 types of results in MD04. Finally, I found the reason, at least from my side it is, hope helpful for you and someone else who also would like to know.
The reason is system activated (SFW5) DIMP_SDUD and then system will call the enhancements in include "LM61RF6Z".
Remarks: SFW5 should be used very carefully, because it is not reversible normally. I just reply the case in my side for your reference.
