Subassignment Options for Document Type

Hi Experts,

In EC-CS, there was "Subassignment Options" menu in Document Type setting (CXE1) where you can fixate or control default visibility of subassignment fields.
However, I do not see such menu in Group Reporting (OP 2021).

Is the menu no longer available in Group Reporting?
If so, does that mean we can no longer control those options? Or, is there alternative functionality in GR?

This is not available in Group Reporting.

SAP S/4HANA for Group Reporting->Master Data->Define Default Values for Sub assignments

For manual postings, you can check the data-line validation/substitutions

When creating group journal entries, the system performs checks to make sure that the data is complete and correct. Substitution/Validation can be used to automatically fill fields or to substitute or validate field values, depending on defined preconditions and rules. You can use the Manage Substitution/Validation Rules - Journal Entries app to define such substitution and/or validation rules Access to Manage Substitution/Validation Rules As a consolidation specialist for group reporting, to access the Manage Substitution/Validation Rules - Group Journal Entries app from the SAP Fiori launchpad, you must have a business role that contains the Accounting - Configuration SAP_CA_BC_ACC_CONFIG_PC) business catalog. SAP delivers the Consolidation Specialist (SAP_BR_CONSLDTN_SPECIALIST) business role template for your reference.

Hi Jana,

Thanks for the comment! I really appreciate it.

With "Subassignment Options" you can control the default values and visibility of subassignment fields dynamically, which I believe is not available in "Default Values for Characteristics" or "Validation/Substitution".
Nevertheless, I think it's worth considering to use those functions as alternative solution.

Thanks!
