Transaction Code KSPP and its 3 options for transfer

Hello Experts,

How are you? Currently I face a problem to understand the whole functionality of T-code KSPP and its 3 options to transfer activity quantities. Could somebody who knows this explain me that? I'll appreciate that!

In some of our plants we do not use Long Term Planning so in order to put Activity Quantities in our Cost Centre Accounting our CO department is doing a big manual calculations and in the end using KP26 to put the manually. I think KSPP can avoid this manual work, but as I already mentioned above I have no idea how are to be used those 3 options into the T-code. Any suggestions and answers will be highly appreciated, thanks!

Sincerely Yours,

Georgi Georgiev

HI Georgi

Those three options are just the different sources from which KSPP can read the volume information - they are the "buckets" in which the end result of the logistics process is stored.

Not sure why you do not use long term planning, to be able to use KSPP you are going to need the full years volume. If logistics departments do create full year's info, and do not want to use LTP, the best would be to write a program that will upload the results of the volume plan into LTP planned orders. And then take the SAP standard process from there.

Trying to do the costing in spreadsheets is generally not a good idea.

Hey Piet,

How are you? Thanks for your answer, but I do have other questions. Let's say our logistic departments can't give a pure mid or long-term forecast for the demand and this is why LTP isn't used. My question is from your experience, when you have MTO scenario in automotive industry, is there an opportunity to use this KSPP to transfer the hours from SAP PP. To be honest with you I do not know what SOP is and why it is used in which cases and how we can integrate it in SAP CO in order to transfer quantities in SAP CO. I just want to avoid the unpleasant manual job our CO done by our CO people. Let me know and thanks for your cooperation!

Sincerely Yours,
