Dr. Linda Park is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Systems at UCSF School of Nursing. Her program of research focuses on the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. She holds an appointment as a Nurse Researcher at San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she conducts work related to her VA Nursing Research Initiative Award. Her current research projects center are centered around the application and evaluation of digital health technology using mixed methods approaches. Dr. Park seeks to determine the most engaging, practical, and meaningful technology-based interventions to improve patient self-care, clinical outcomes, and quality of life for older adults with ischemic heart disease and heart failure.

Dr. Park’s current work includes her role as the Principal Investigator of the Mobile4Meds multi-site randomized clinical trial that seeks to compare a mobile application, text messaging, and a website-control to improve medication adherence after acute coronary syndrome, sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs. She is also the Principal Investigator of three other funded studies in the area of cardiac rehabilitation, funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veterans Affairs, and the UCSF Center for Aging in Diverse Communities/UCSF Pepper Center.

Dr. Park remains active in her clinical role as a nurse practitioner and works at a community hospital for Cardiovascular Services. She is also the sole inventor of an electronic medication adherence system (Tap iT!), funded by the UCSF School of Nursing Lipps Fund.
