The Liverpool solo indie artist is here to celebrate one of the best and greatest decades in British music history - the 90s.

There will be songs from the likes of Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, The Verve, The Stone Roses, The La's, Red hot chilli Peppers and much more.

On July 18, 1953, Presley first walked through the doors of the Memphis Recording Service at the Sun Record Company, now commonly known as Sun Records, paid $3.98 and recorded a double-sided demo acetate, My Happiness and That's When Your Heartaches Begin. The rest became Rock 'n' Roll history.

Revisit the blessed recording studio and the legendary record label that brought you Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Rufus Thomas and scores more rockin' pioneers, as they once again come to life live on stage.

Featuring musical instruments of the era, starring a multi-talented cast of singers and a supporting cast of amazing musicians, the sound of Sun is brought to life live on stage in the official concert show that takes you back to the birthplace of rock 'n' roll.

  • On Friday (June 23), R&B Summer Party Night is live at The Imperial. This runs from 8pm until 3am. Take a break from the dancing to enjoy a game of pool or a pint in the refurbished lounge area. There is a big beer garden to the rear. For more information click HERE.

  • Coming up on Saturday (June 24), the LY2 events and performance space is officially launched in Lyceum Square. There will be a launch ceremony from national dance circus company, Motionhouse. Performances are love at 2:45pm and 4:00pm. For more information click HERE.

  • Then on Saturday (June 24) and Sunday (June 25), Armed Forces Day celebrations are live at Queens Park. This free two-day family event will include food stalls and refreshments, memorabilia, military vehicle and Army displays, recruitment support, and a funfair. For more information click HERE.
