Walapai

The Walapai people (also spelled Hualapai) occupied land in northwest Arizona, near the Grand Canyon. The word Walapai means “people of the pines” in their own language. Curtis created a total of nine (9) copper photogravure plates from his visits with the Walapai and four (4) remain available to collectors today.
