Dark copper hardware makes a dramatic statement on this space saving, solid oak cellarette of Roycroft design. The Roycroft community, 1895-1938, was founded by Elbert Hubbard in East Aurora, New York. Like Gustav Stickley, Hubbard was greatly influenced by a visit with William Morris during a trip he took to England.  Roycroft furniture was made of mahogany, ash or fumed oak, and each piece was clearly identified with the Roycroft symbol, a double barred cross enclosing an R. We are pleased to reissue some favorite and treasured Roycroft pieces; each will bear the identifying shopmark Roycroft by Stickley.
