Regarding the charging of freightage for parcel which paenger are permitted to carry on the train, he tate that the African women, particularly on your line are in the habit of carrying many parcel and if they did not prevent thi by initing that they hould book all buggage there would be very little room left on the bue for the paenger. In thi connectionhe ha requeted u to ak the women epecially not to carry many parcel whan travelling. Bear Sir, re«zs3hust -BORAKALALO BUS SERVICE. 4th Kay, I On behalf of the Bahuruthe Aociation, I have to thank you for your cooperation and the prompt attention which our repreentation have alway received from you. The new bu time table which wh introduced and operated in July i completely atifactory and ha obviated much of the dicomfort which paenger on thi route uffered. I now have to make further repreentation on behalf of the aociation and hope you will treat them with the ame ympathy. The bu ervice at preent running between Zeerut and Borakalalo, ha to pa through four village, namely* Itinokana, Gopane, Motowedi and Borakalalo. The traffic on thi route i very heavy, and on occaion when it i particularly heavy, there i much overcrowding of paenger on the bue. J/inokaiia i about a large a tha three other village put together, and it i uggeted that a pecial bu3 for thi village alone would alway b<? full and Tould leanm the bu at preent erving the iour village to pa through without topping to pick up or onload paenger and «rv» Copano, Ifotwede and Borakalalo excluively. Thi would hold good for the return journey. We ar aware that the adminitration i hort of bue a you pointed out in a previou correpondence to u, and are making thi requet in the hope tftat if you find it impracticable to effect the improvement requeted immediately, you will keep it in view and maet it at your earlit convenience. The Aitant Director, The S.A. Intitute of Race Relation, P. 0. Box 97, JOHANNESBURG. 28th June, Dear Sir, Re» TRANSPORT SERVICE; ZEERUST - BORAKALALO. With reference to your letter A/15 /4/l of the 1 5 th April, 1952, and telephonic converation of the 18th April, 1952, it i deired to inform you that owing to the hortage of plant it ha not been poible to provide for all contingencie at Zeerit at all time.
