Description

Wonderful and extremely rare specimen!
On a matrix rich in black uraninite, a dense cover of very bright yellow acicular crystals of urancalcarite stands out together with large groups of magnificent dark prismatic crystals of extremely rare wyartite. In some areas you can see very well, urchins of very dark divergent crystals with slight purplish hues of beautiful ianthinite.
This is a very rare specimen but it shows a typical Shinkolobwe's association for these extremely rare species with type locality here. There are also some shiny elongated bundles of glassy bright yellow crystals which add to the beauty of the specimen and I'm guessing they may be uranophane.
