Description

Erect to spreading subshrub to 40 cm high;stems ± pubescent.Leaves ovate to lanceolate,4?30 mm long,2?13 mm wide,apex acute,lamina glabrous to hairy;petiole 1?9 mm long.Inflorescences with peduncles 0.5?1.2 cm long.Flowers usually 2?4 together in simple heads surrounded by a calyx-like cup,c.1.5?2 mm long,enlarging in fruit up to 4 mm long.Corolla 2?3 mm long,reddish,± hairy outside.Anthers exserted c.2 mm long.Fruit obconical,empty calyx persistent on plant for some time;seeds 2?3 mm long.
