Dean Reed, an open letter to the scoundrel and the liberal Solzhenitsyn

179

It's amazing how these words are relevant today. The letter was written 40 years ago, and so far it has not lost its relevance. None of the writers of the Soviet era has caused so much damage to the reputation of the USSR, as Solzhenitsyn. All of Europe read books where the Soviet Union presented itself as one big prison. It was the books of Solzhenitsyn who made a considerable contribution to the collapse of the country, for which he received his Nobel Prize.

However, in capitalist America there were people who knew how to look through the prism of lies and see the very essence. Dean Rin - American singer, film actor, film director and public figure, in the distant 71 year published an open letter to A. Solzhenitsyn, in which the actor called all charges of Solzhenitsyn against the Soviet Union false.

Text of the letter:
Dear art colleague Solzhenitsyn!

As an American artist, I must answer some of your accusations published by the capitalist press all over the world. In my opinion, they are false accusations, and the nations of the world should know why they are false.

You denounced the Soviet Union as "a deeply sick society, hurt and injured by the law." You say that the Soviet government "could not live without enemies, and the whole atmosphere is imbued with hatred, and again with hatred that does not stop even before racial hatred." You must be talking about my homeland, not yours!

After all, it is America, not the Soviet Union, that is waging wars and creating a tense environment of possible wars in order to enable our economy to act, and our dictators, the military-industrial complex to acquire even more wealth and power on the blood of the Vietnamese people, our own American soldiers. and all the freedom-loving nations of the world! Sick society in my homeland, but not you, Mr. Solzhenitsyn!

It was America, not the Soviet Union, that became the most violent society that it ever knew. story of humanity. America, where the mafia has more economic power than the largest corporations, and where our citizens cannot walk at night through the streets without fear of being attacked by a criminal.

After all, it was in the United States, and not in the Soviet Union, that their own fellow citizens killed more people in the period from 1900 than the number of all American soldiers killed in battles in the first and second world wars, as well as in Korea and Vietnam! It is our society that considers it convenient to kill any and every progressive leader who finds the courage to raise his voice against some of our injustices. That is what a sick society is, Mr. Solzhenitsyn!

Next you talk about racial hatred! In America, not in the Soviet Union, the killing of blacks who are held in semi-slavery has remained unpunished for two centuries. In America, not in the Soviet Union, the police indiscriminately beat and arrest any and every black man trying to make a stand for their rights.

Then you say that “freedom of speech, honest and complete freedom of speech is the first condition for the health of any society, and ours as well.” Try to spread these thoughts among suffering peoples who are forced to fight for existence and live against their will under the yoke of dictatorial regimes held in power only thanks to US military aid.

Tell about your thoughts to people whose “health” is only that half of their children die at birth, because they have no money for a doctor, and they suffer all their lives due to lack of medical care. Tell this to the people of the capitalist world, whose “health” is that they spend their whole lives in constant fear of unemployment. Tell American blacks how much they have been helped by the “health” and “freedom of speech” in the process of their just struggle for equality with whites, when after two centuries of “freedom of speech in an American way” in many parts of the United States they believe that to kill a black man is it's like hunting a bear!
Tell the working people of the capitalist world about your ideas about “freedom of speech as the first condition of health,” if, due to lack of money, their sons and daughters cannot develop their mental abilities in school, and therefore can never even learn to read! You talk about freedom of speech, while most of the world's population is still talking about the possibility of learning to read words!

No, Mr. Solzhenitsyn, your definition of free speech as the first condition of health is incorrect. The first condition is to make the country healthy enough morally, mentally, spiritually and physically, so that its citizens can read, write, work and live together in peace.

No, Mr. Solzhenitsyn, I do not accept your first condition of public health, and especially in your definition and context. My country, known for its “freedom of speech,” is a country where police are attacking participants in peaceful campaigns. Peace campaigns are allowed in my country, and at the same time the ongoing war has a detrimental effect on the lives of the Vietnamese people, for demonstrations, of course, do not alter the government’s policies in the least. Do you really think that the military-industrial complex, ruling my country and the floor of the world, cares about the “freedom of speech” ?! Its rulers are aware that they, and only they, have the power to make decisions. Truly, freedom of speech in words, but not in deeds!

You also state that the Soviet Union does not keep pace with the twentieth century. If this is true, it is because the Soviet Union always goes half a step ahead of the twentieth century! Do you suggest that your people abandon their role as leader and vanguard of all the progressive nations of the world and return to the inhuman and cruel conditions that exist in the rest of the world, where injustice is abundant in the atmosphere of almost the feudal conditions of many countries? Mr. Solzhenitsyn, the article further states that you are a “long-suffering writer from the Soviet Union.” Apparently, this means that you suffer a lot because of the lack of moral and social principles and that your conscience torments you during quiet night hours when you are alone with yourself.

It is true that in the Soviet Union there are injustices and shortcomings, but everything in the world is relative. In principle and in deed, your society is committed to creating a truly healthy and fair society. The principles on which your society is built are healthy, clean and fair, while the principles on which our society is built are cruel, self-serving and unfair. Obviously, there can be mistakes and some injustices in life, however, there is no doubt that a society built on fair principles has more prospects to come to a just society than a society based on injustice and the exploitation of man by man. The society and government of my country are behind the times, because their only goal is to maintain the status quo all over the world. It is your country that is striving to take progressive steps in the name of humanity, and if it is imperfect in some ways and sometimes stumbles, then we should not blame the entire system for these shortcomings, but should welcome it for its courage and desire to lay new paths.

Sincerely, Dean Reed

        * Amazing * the phenomenon of a deceiver is that he sat down on a completely criminal article, and came out with an increase in rank. He managed to become a * writer * and * lay * all, without exception, with whom he had just met. But today he is being dragged into the classics, and this is with weak * literature * and despite the fact that he wrote frank lies. Here he completed an order from * sixderasts * for spitting, including those who considered him a friend, here he was sent as a reward for * mound * where he continued to lie and crap.

I think two factors worked here. This is a fight against the personality cult of Stalin, which was unleashed by Nikita Khrushchev. Solzhenitsyn helped him a lot in this! And the second, the excess of the USSR in freedom of speech and total censorship (such as revealed the hidden truth!). If there were not these two factors, then the traitor Solzhenitsyn would never have gained popularity in our country. It may be in the West, but not with us.

Dean Reed may have loved our Motherland, but I think for the money. If he loved, then why didn’t he move to live with us, the first state in the whole world of justice and love for the working people. He wrote a letter, but did not send money from his fees for a better life to Vietnam. And he did not go to fight as a volunteer for a free Vietnam. He was a talented actor, he knew how to earn money on everything, including PR. A kind of Makarevich, but in the USA.

You know, according to the recollections of his mistress Eve Qiwi, he sent $ 1000 to the Vietnam fund from which, she was very angry. But being carried away by the political system of one country, in every possible way mock their flag, while peers are fighting indirectly against, as it were, not patriotic. Exactly, American Makarevich.

You are right in many ways. I think Dean Reed did not know the USSR, just as we did the USA. Our mutual ideas about another country (both then and now) often add up to our unfulfilled expectations regarding our own country. I think Dean Reed was striving for truth, but he simply didn’t have any active forces (to move, etc.). And why should a person leave his own homeland if they are not being persecuted? Is it worth the American artist to blame for this "weakness"? But personally, would you be in his place - would you move? From the homeland, from acquaintances, classmates, parents, language, culture - to an unfamiliar, contrived by its fantasy "ideals" place with a different culture and language, with other strangers?
As for Solzhenitsyn, many in our country will never be able to understand him - according to the peculiarities of their own psyche. After all, Solzhenitsyn did not just “write”. He opened his whole soul to the whole world (compatriots in the first place). He discovered everything: both light and shameful ... He discovered from his soul that it was voluntary (even a Christian, when he repented "before God" to the priest, and not that "just like that") not everyone was able to open. But Solzhenitsyn, after this self-recognition before the whole world, received a moral right, in turn, to “demand the truth” from the reader. And therefore he is very, very cruel to the reader. He does not “describe,” he “invites” the reader with him, Solzhenitsyn, to relive all this, the entire “GULAG” with his “before and after” again. Survive together, as it is now. And open all the caches of your own soul. No, not in front of the whole world. Only in front of himself. But not everyone is capable of it. If you go along with this road with him, you yourself will feel cleansing ... And if you are not able to pass, it’s better not to try. Do not take the book without empathy, if only to “run through the eyes” - for the lie will not be a book, but your perception of what is written. This is like a “Bible” to an atheist: initially everything is “wrong” to him, everything is “false” and “religion is opium for the people”. So be honest reader, do not lie to yourself at least ...
My late father-in-law, a war veteran, for example, began to read Solzhenitsyn. He liked to read very much. And immediately greatly respected him from the first pages. Because he saw and understood, felt - he writes the truth! But I could not read further ("The Gulag Archipelago"). Set aside the book forever. But he put it off with respect, giving himself an account of this. It turns out that the veteran confessed to himself weakness, of the impossibility to relive the past again ... I understood: it is very difficult, it is not within the strength of the soul to shake its own soul, maybe it would be younger ...
Because the "truth", it is far from "oil". The truth is sometimes truly worse than a knife. To another person, just give free rein to your own conscience, then you will have to shoot, hang yourself, and deal with an exacerbation of heart disease at best. Because the writer raises such questions to our own conscience, to answer which it is true even secretly, only to himself, not everyone has the strength. Sometimes it’s better for health and “calmer” for ordinary life - just forget, don’t think ... Before, I was surprised by people who “attack” Solzhenitsyn. Then I realized: we are just different. You can’t demand from everyone to become "Korolevs, Gagarins, Karbyshevs" ... For many, "death on the world is red." But it is unbearable secretly, alone, and even slandered (by the way, the latter is one of Hitler’s counterintelligence methods for recruiting agents). Therefore - it is not necessary to "judge" anyone. Let us “judge” ourselves only, for that we are given a conscience.

He saw not what was, but what he WANTED to see.

And life proved it: exactly 20 years later, what he considered the best, fell apart soundlessly with the complete indifference of citizens.

In the latest edition "Stories of the Far East of Russia" this version of Lazo’s death is described as legend; it is indicated that the actual opening of the locomotive firebox was very small (64x45 cm). It is also alleged that the American steam engine of 1917, in which it is believed that Lazo was burned and which is now erected on a pedestal, was actually delivered to the USSR Lend-Lease during World War II [. Moreover, the same theses can be applied without throwing a word to modern power (once), to royal power (two). Or what is happening with 1991 year is not the destruction of the country and people? The October Revolution itself (a plan for the seizure of power) was developed by the Russian General Staff. The army became subordinate to the new leadership. But I can’t say this about modern power. Today power is deaf-deaf.

The union fell apart for many reasons. Sadly, the foundations of this began to lay even Trotsky with his international, then Khrushchev. Stalin also made mistakes, but he just did much more to strengthen. Under Brezhnev, the problems were first solved, but then "stagnation" came, stagnation not industrial, and not intellectual. Stagnation and decomposition took place in relations and relations - the RSFSR + Belarus took on more and more the burden of supporting friends' expenses and eventually overstrained. Colossal investments in Ukraine, in the Baltic states, in the unequal trade in CMEA, in all sorts of friends of communism (more than 40 countries), in a number of other republics were taken due to lower living standards and infrastructure in these two republics, the RSFSR lost from a third to half of the profits every year while investing gigantic funds in infrastructure and production facilities. But the social network remained unsolved and in some places even worsened against the background of a general increase in the standard of living in the "golden billion".
At the same time, dating republics worked worse and worse.
The management is used to letting it go on the brakes and social tension has gradually grown. At the same time, the USSR refused to take advantage of the superprofits from foreign trade from the standpoint of combining CMEA.
The growing corruption caused by the weakening of control over the distribution system and personnel (mainly under Brezhnev) added a twinkle.
If conditional Putin replaced Brezhnev, the Union would have a good chance of recovery, its economy was already very powerful and could withstand a lot, but the leapfrog of the general secretaries and the struggle for power eventually launched a collapse. in fact, I believe that the USSR fell apart due to the irresponsibility and carelessness of the country's leadership.

And in foreign policy he has no freedom at all. The property of the oligarchs is mainly abroad. If their property is seized, they will immediately begin to cooperate against Putin. And against the countries of competitors, Putin has nothing to oppose. Gas and oil? Well, he tried to put pressure on these pedals. Only he was clearly shown his place. Putin was offended and began to bombard the barmaley. Quite by accident, oil has risen in price. But then Turkey suddenly intervened. USA, Israel and some small but rich Arab oil principalities. And where is Putin’s freedom now? Confront these countries? Will there be enough resources? Cooperate? And will the participation rate suit you? And where is freedom for Putin? Done on all sides. And he? And he prays at them. Will they help him? Of course they will help, die. And what can he oppose to them? Banks controlled by Russia? Payment systems controlled by the Russian Federation? International organizations controlled by Putin? Will Allies Help Putin? Does he have them? Not in words, but in practice? Will the oligarchs covered by him cover him? The chance appeared when several years of relative stability fell, but it was realized in strengthening corruption.

I don’t understand where the figure in 4.5% came from. Or are you talking about the elections in Russia? Then plus here also the parties that are not in the opposition. Again 100% is obtained.

Yes, you can’t imagine it that way, but I took part in the elections in the USSR for 27 years. There was one surname in the bulletin: from the Communists or from the "bloc of communists and non-partisans." Yes, no one looked at them: they threw them in ballot boxes without looking so that they wouldn’t rush home to persuade them to vote.

What are you arguing with? 4,5% of the Russian population in the last election voted for the Communists. Such is the "support".

Well, yes, yes. All this was apparently spoken of with great love for the motherland.
It is known that in June-July 1975, Solzhenitsyn, who was expelled from the USSR, visited Washington and New York and delivered speeches at the Congress of Trade Unions and the US Congress (these speeches with the support of the CIA were published in 11 million copies!). The participation of the “patriot” in the Great Patriotic War in defense of his Fatherland, former officer A. Solzhenitsyn, did not prevent the above-mentioned speech in the United States in 1975 from saying the following:

"England, France, the USA are the victorious powers in World War II." “America helped win Europe’s first and second wars. The United States, whether they want it or not, climbed the back of world history and bear the brunt of leadership, if not the whole world, then even half of it ... Therefore, you, members of the Senate and members of the House of Representatives, each of you is not an ordinary member of an ordinary parliament, but you are elevated to a special height in the modern world. ” In 1978, he publicly addressed the Americans with the famous words: “... a world evil (USSR), hated by humanity, and it is determined to destroy your system. Is it necessary to expect that American youth will have to die, protecting the borders of your continent ?! ”
“Russia has sinned in front of itself and other peoples, therefore its moral, social and political forces have dried up. The only thing left for her is the monstrous military power, which can easily destroy the whole of Western Europe in two weeks, but can’t renew anything without difficulty, if only ... there will be no repentance! Russia must repent! ”
“Russia does not need a sea, we are not a sea people like the British, but a land one. Our activity at sea is contrary to the original Russian way of life. As well as from the sea, we must also abandon our lands in the Soviet part of Asia, where peoples live that are alien to us in their culture, language, and, above all, in religious traditions. ” In one of his speeches in Switzerland, he expressed himself even more “decisively”: “Russia must return to its old borders. To the borders of the times of Ivan the Terrible. To give up their activity in the Baltic states and in the Black Sea basin ... "

What makes you think that Solzhenitsyn had his own opinion? Already a lot of water has flowed since his opuses were published. It so happened that the topics about which he wrote to me were already familiar from the primary sources, and even then I managed to note his clear tendentiousness in the description of events. Another thing now: tremendous work has been done to study "his" books, a study of the sources of "his" information. Conclusion: he did not write books on his own, "help" (more precisely, instructions for writing) came from the "Christian Student Movement", the same one that, during the period of "our" revolutions, carried out sabotage activities in our country. This same movement also ensured success in defeating the country as early as 1991. When writing, Solicin acted simply as a transmission link, a sort of dummy chip, no more. What he wrote about is crushed by incontrovertible facts, only they are not stubbornly published, which means that there is a serious interest in certain forces (to reveal them). Let me remind you that during his studies at the university he received an increased (4-fold) "Stalin scholarship" of 500 rubles. Everything speaks of his "special" moral qualities. The US President refused to accept him, despite the preliminary agreement after he found out about all his ins and outs (read about it).

"Are all excellent students potential Solzhenitsyn?" - judging by you, it turns out that way, unfortunately. Still, it is desirable not only to receive an increased scholarship (I, for example, also received an increased scholarship), but also try to repay the debt to that organization, in the sense of the Homeland, which paid this scholarship. You and Solzhenitsin obviously did not succeed! What kind of education do we have? Teachers lie like "green measured", which is noticeable even on this Internet resource, and in the end do you really have no need to take your own initiative in increasing your awareness and intellectual development. Indeed, for example, graduate school is obliged to teach just that. I was personally told: forget what you have been taught so far as a nightmare and listen here. I have memorized these words for my whole life and always try as much as possible to study the topic under discussion. As I understand it, you personally have not been able to raise your level of knowledge above the knowledge of your strange teachers. Hence all these tales about the "gun crew" of Solzhenitsin, because he never came close to the front for a cannon shot, he was engaged only in transport.

The Soviet system was not viable because it contradicted the laws of the development of nature, the laws of evolution. A system in which there is no competition completely kills the desire to develop. Low-quality goods, egalitarianism, imitation of work instead of work, intolerance of the opinions of others, ultimately finished off the system.

The USSR existed from under the stick of the KGB / MGB / NKVD, and when the people were tired of repression, prohibitions and coercion, the country quietly went into oblivion.

Probably more correct to say - Khrushchev helped Solzhenitsyn great, he favored him, although until a certain time.
Solzhenitsyn is certainly a good writer, it was noted by Tvardovsky, Akhmatova and other respected writers. He was no scoundrel, much less a liberal. He honestly fought, honestly deserved his military orders, he was a naive Marxist of those years (a fighter against the excesses of Leninism)
What a liberal he was, if he was harassed by these same gentlemen, from A. Sakharov to emigration, he was a stranger to them.
When Solzhenitsyna in 1998. awarded the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called, he refused, declaring: .......from the supreme power, which brought Russia to its present disastrous state, I cannot accept the award.

Writing in such a way that it was difficult to figure out where the truth is and where the fiction is, is a talent, especially to believe about the enormous repressions, without giving specific numbers, but to give the impression that the USSR was divided into light elves of the Gulag and the orcs who guarded and shot them .. But Solzhenitsyn composed not only about camp life, he also had the chapters of “August Fourteenth,” which he wrote from the position of a faithful Leninist, and even “One Day of Ivan Denisovich” was harshly criticized not by party organs, but by Varlam Shalamov, who considered the story too soft, although in my opinion, it was Shalamov who was quite free to deal with numbers, facts, events.

The Butters colleague, in my opinion, is right that the system that prevailed in the USSR was incapable and that was exactly what the elders from the Central Committee preferred not to notice, despite the obvious evidence of its incapacity. The very principles that were the basis of the system that prevailed in the USSR were not viable. And neither Khrushchev, nor the cult of personality (or the absence of this cult), nor Solzhenitsyn, could in any way alter the fact that the system that prevailed in the USSR was doomed to destruction. I will give one vivid, in my opinion, example of the non-operability of the very principles that underlie the system that has developed in the USSR. It is no secret that in the late USSR, an ordinary engineer earned less than an ordinary worker, which led to the fact that people with higher technical education often worked in working positions, although a vocational school education was sufficient for work at the machine tool. Why did this happen? The answer is very simple, the system prevailing in the USSR did not give an answer to a seemingly simple enough question, how much does an academician, for example, cost. Is the academician’s hour of work worth 3 hours of work of a worker, 10 hours of work of a worker, or 100, or maybe 1000 hours of work of a worker? Everything is very simple in the capitalist system - the market determines how much an academician’s work costs, if there are people who are ready to pay for example 1000 dollars for an academician’s work and there are academics who are ready to work for this $ 1000, then an academician’s work hour costs $ 1000. In the USSR, the state gave the answer to the question of the cost of labor of both the academician and the worker, normatively fixing the cost of an hour of their work. Such an organization of labor cost estimation led to the fact that labor was either underestimated or overestimated, since objective criteria for estimating labor costs in the USSR could not be developed. This state of affairs led to the fact that the work of a graduate of vocational school and for the preparation of which the state conditionally spent 20000 rubles was carried out by an engineer with a higher education for the preparation of which the state spent 200000 rubles, which of course was ineffective and led to the fact that, all else being equal, the unit cost The output of an engineer in the USSR working as a worker was much higher than the cost of the same unit of output produced by a worker working in his position in the United States. From year to year, due to such inherent defects, such as the inability of the Soviet economic model to give an objective assessment of labor costs, the imbalance in the Soviet economy grew and ultimately inevitably led to the collapse of this system. Moreover, the collapse, regardless of who would be at the head of the USSR. These were systemic, inborn defects of the Soviet economic model.

Yes, this is not the only point. Not about the economy. Many issues in the post-war USSR were really spoiled by window dressing, formalism, and inertness. Many restrictions were excessively severe. Mistakes were made precisely in the field of ideology, psychology, management. When you are being torn for unsigned pieces of paper, and not for the quality of the product, you voluntarily begin to become a bureaucrat. The restrictions are completely dogmatic and have no practical meaning - who cares what I listen to the Beatles, or dress "in the western"? Restriction on leaving ... well, it is impossible to isolate people from information about life abroad. The propaganda was very naive - people simply did not believe in these slogans "Glory to the CPSU" and so on. Back in the 60 years, the study of the history of the party turned into a comical formality - how after that people could seriously take the idea of communism and socialism? Silence of failures. As a result, people less and less believed in power. Domestic disorder also undermined the foundations. And a lot of things. The most annoying thing is that nothing interfered with organizing all this humanly.

"excesses" were created due to inept policies that ruined the quality of control over the quality of personnel, for control over people's behavior. Under Khrushchev, sister-in-law and other processes leading shit to power became the norm, which gradually destroyed the state from the inside.
My parents, when they were young, regularly came across the fact that some director of a meat-packing plant or vegetable warehouse was becoming rod or a person who was frankly not ready for this. Old party members fought this, but gradually many retired and died, and the collapse began to gain momentum. I remember the slogan of stagnation - "the right people." I remember how tickets, queues for cars and apartments, coupons for imported goods and products were distributed unfairly. The personnel policy of appointing leadership, securing privileges is one of the most important factors in the collapse of the country.

The Gulag Archipelago in general is his personal fantasies, he himself was in Kazakhstan, he did not particularly buzz, working for the operative department of the zone. Because the "unworthy" our Solzhik with his own person kills all Russian literature of both the golden and silver ages and contrasts sharply with the Russian imperial Dostoevsky and the Russian humanist of world significance Leo Tolstoy. It turns out that all Russian literature, struggling with the classified society, which was riddled with all means, ridiculed all the vices of capitalism and tsarism, inspired all revolutions in Russia with its power, led only to a "totalitarian bloody scoop headed by ghouls and paranoid people." That's the thing. Therefore, our guarantor is stable (or stabilizer) and is trying to elevate the Yeltsin Center above the Mausoleum, and Solzhenitsyn above Tolstoy, although figures are disproportionate there and there. Yeltsin and Solzh are miserable dwarfs in comparison with Lenin and Tolstoy. Therefore, Natasha our Crimean drags to the Immortal regiment of the feline-ballet feline Nicholas II (cousin of all heads of state who fought with him and against him). Solzhenitsyn is the basis of the current "cultural literary" paradigm of modern bourgeois Russia. A very convenient writer, both Russian and American, with shoes in the air. In his work, you can pull phrases about the "bloody scoop with gebne" and "stronghold of the US world" and the "two-faced essence of Ukraine."

I had two of his large discs recorded in Czechoslovakia. I was always perplexed, but what was missing in America there? Well, his letter is now certainly out of date, he himself did not know much. He was used for propaganda purposes, and when he was about to return to the United States, he was quickly banged, allegedly drowned.

It dropped in at our station in the 90s when it was traveling in a car from the FSA. Recently I saw a photo with this on the stand when it was walking around the station, and I was on the shift that day and saw it. I would have spit on my face, but there was not enough information and brains at that time, although I had already read the “archipelago” and understood that he hated everyone and purposefully looked for Mr. But, and relished him.

This deceitful bastard, one of those who ditched the Union, got off very easily. Even wheeling the democratic British would be an easy death for him. I repeat - I hope that there is hell and the devils are not lazy.

Three months before the end of World War II, Captain Solzhenitsyn was arrested due to criticism of I.V. Stalin was sentenced to eight years, of which he spent six months investigating and sending, almost a year in a camp at the Kaluga outpost in Moscow, about four in a prison research institute, and two and a half years in general work in the Kazakhstan Special Forces.

On February 14, 1974, all central Soviet newspapers published the following message: “By a decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for the systematic commission of acts incompatible with USSR citizenship and detrimental to the USSR, he was deprived of his citizenship and on February 13, 1974 he was expelled from the Soviet Union A. Solzhenitsyn

It is interesting to find those "individuals" who believe in a person whose last name the word "lie" is easy to read ... As Zadornov would say ... Solzi-Nitsin ... it's like sex and mercy

Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn is a veteran of World War II, a writer, a Nobel Prize laureate, a prisoner of the Gulag (Fsin, as he is), temporarily living abroad, returning to his homeland at an advanced age ... NODovtsy and Fedorov apparently do not suspect who it is . Stupidity is excusable, but to a certain extent. Fedorov can give birth to a running Nobel Prize? I doubt the archetype is not the same.

one of the laureates received it impromptu. and then muddied 7 wars. well and what is the value of the "nobel" after that ??

And that someone will deny the existence of the Gulag in the USSR? Or deny dispossession, or rather complete seizure of property, and the dispossessed themselves were exiled by linking to places unsuitable for life, where most of them remained for centuries, repressions of 36-39 and 49-53 years .? Those who dare to do this will be damned for centuries. Crime commies are no better than the crimes of the Nazis. They stand each other

Here is Dean Reid hugging with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. But Dean in Beirut with a Soviet machine gun in his hands! Then on Red Square in Moscow ...

The interview was not at all the way the singer dreamed. The host openly provoked Reed. And Dean began to praise Fidel Castro, praised the construction of the Berlin Wall and the entry of Soviet troops into Afghanistan, scolded Washington for the support provided to the Pinochet regime in Chile. Each word he said caused an American reaction only to a negative reaction. Reed was perceived as a traitor to democratic values and a traitor. A huge number of spectators called the studio, demanding to drive Dean from the country “to his beloved communists”. There was no question of any possibility of starting a career in the homeland.

Bitterly read these lines. Does anyone think that by the will of one person, especially if this person is a writer, the country can fall apart? I wouldn’t have Solzhenitsyn bonfire and take to the open, publishing letters of foreign artists, but those who were at the “throne of the king” with sweet speeches lulled the Soviet regime, talked about its eternity, infallibility, etc., and quietly wrote about cannibalism in besieged Leningrad, babies left in lockers at train stations of ancient Russian cities, about General Vlasov, trying to "understand" why he betrayed, actually whitewashing him, those who glorified the exploits of people who did not accomplish anything heroic in life, but who occupied the key position in the party hierarchy. These were read by millions, read and discussed, and discontent grew, gradually, unconsciously. Remember this joke: the patient comes to the doctor and says: “Doctor, I hear one thing and I see another, what should I do?” The doctor replies: "We can’t cure socialism!" Did Solzhenitsyn also say that? No, not him.
Fear Danians bringing gifts - says ancient wisdom, relevant in our days. And Solzhenitsyn, in the words of V.I. Lenin is a mirror of the Russian counter-revolution, called the "Perestroika" by the counter-revolutionaries.

Solzhenitsyn wrote in the style of post-apocalyptic or parallel reality fantastic works of mediocre quality with a bias in depression, and the vast majority of readers perceived his work as historical truth. Well, what does it have to do with if you do not understand him. For example, the Strugatsky brothers wrote
    the work "Inhabited Island".

Many thanks to the author for this material. We all loved Dean, that was our American! Modern embittered capitalism is trying in every possible way to hide the achievements of the USSR, to slander them. Historians study the Great French Revolution, about which everything has been said for a long time, and in every way ignore the unique Soviet experience, witnesses of which are still alive. This is so similar to the careful attitude of the United States to its expansion and the absolute neglect of the rights of other countries. Everything that has been published today will never be lost, so you need to write about it, you need to tell the children, you need to remove this ugly mask, under which are hidden the beautiful faces of Gagarin, chocolate Alyonushka and Soviet workers.
