Actress Hristina Popović, best known for her roles in the films "Parade", "Little Budo" and "Autumn of the Samurai", is attracting the attention of the media these days, but not with a new role, but with her desire to travel to the Arctic.

Namely, Popović applied for the Swedish project Fjallraven, which was designed in 1997, and since then every year the 20 luckiest candidates from different parts of the world get the opportunity to make a circle around the North Pole in a sled pulled by dogs.

While for the participants this is an opportunity to test their endurance, for the Fjallraven brand of winter clothing and accessories, which finances the entire project, this means testing the quality of their products.

However, in order for the actress to be among the 20 participants who will travel to the Arctic, she needs to collect around 15 votes on December 50, and in an interview with "Vijesti" Popović reveals why she should be voted for.

You can vote for Hristina HERE.

"Fjallraven Polar is a world-famous expedition that takes place in the Arctic. Twenty people are chosen from all over the world, that means two from each group. Serbia is in the Central Europe group and I am currently third there, and Montenegro is in the World group. So we are not in competition and you are free to vote for me and for Dragana Čejović, the Montenegrin representative, so that we can meet each other there in that nedoja. And I guess I'm a Montenegrin too," says the actress, who in earlier interviews, with a laugh for "Vijesti" she pointed out that her parents are from Cetinje.

Popovic goes on to explain why it is her dream to embark on an adventure that begins in Signaldalen, Norway, and ends in Vakarajarva, Sweden.

"In addition to the fact that I mostly read about the Arctic in the Marti Mysteries comics and that I fantasize that there is something magical in that whiteness and coldness, I love and look forward to socializing with people from the most diverse parts of the planet and in cultural exchange," she explains.

"I also believe that when we get out of our comfort zone and live in more extreme conditions, some change is inevitable. And that through adventures we also grow and develop on various levels, that is, we become better people," says Popović.

In her biography on the Fjallraven website, she states that she lives in Serbia, Germany and South Africa.

"I'm a little late with the application, because I found out about it a few days ago. My friend recommended me to apply, because he knows that my biggest dream is to drive a sled pulled by dogs at the North Pole", she says in the video and adds that it was a kind of her calling.

"Every cell of mine is crying out for the sound of that sled, snow and dogs", says the actress, who also boasted that she is a triathlete and the mother of a five-year-old "authentic, talkative and hyperactive daughter".

"So please - I need five days of peace and quiet. This is also a lifetime and unique opportunity to eat six thousand calories a day without feeling guilty, in order to survive this challenge," she joked.

When asked by "Vijesti" whether she is self-confident and whether she believes she can get enough votes, given that she is currently in third place in the Central Europe category, Popović says:

"If I lack faith in myself, I do not lack faith in you! Vote and share on social networks and then we will succeed. Thank you!" said the actress, who currently has over 8.000 votes.

Dragana Čejović is the only candidate from Montenegro

For the only candidate from Montenegro, Dragana Čejović, who is in seventh place with almost 5.200 votes, this can be done in the "World" group.

You can vote for Dragana HERE.

"My name is Dragana. I was born in Montenegro 51 years ago, and during half of them I lived in Greece. I was brought here by the Greek god of love, Eros. I met Mother Nature only recently, but in the last five years I have been making huge strides. I hope that my application can be a good motivator for people my age, because in the end, age is just a number," Čejović said in her biography on the website.
