Kinetofragminophora is a class of Ciliophora.[1] WoRMS said we shall disuse this classification.[2][3]

Taxonomy[edit]
Kinetofragminophora contained the following orders:[4]
- Apostomatida Chatton & Lwoff, 1928: Now belongs to Oligohymenophorea;
- Plagiopylida Jankowski, 1978
- Suctorida Claparède & Lachmann, 1858[5][1]
- Trichostomatida Bütschli, 1889[1]
But WoRMS further classify the class into the following three subclasses:[2][3]
- Subclass Gymnostomata (disused)
- Order Primociliatida accepted as Karyorelictea (junior synonym)
- Hypostomata[6] (disused)
- Order Chonotrichida (disused): becomes Chonotrichia of Phyllopharyngea
- Order Cyrtophorida[6] (disused)
- Subclass Vestibulifera (disused)
- Order Trichostomatida (disused)
