Usage notes

(LGBT): Usually a generic symbol. Occasionally contrasted with an upright orientation ⟨⚨⟩, with the upright variant taking the generic meaning, Mars-orientated ⟨⚦⟩ taking on an implication of someone of male appearance, and Venus-orientated ⟨⟩ taking on an implication of someone of female appearance.

(alchemy): A tilted ⛢ (⟨⟩, i.e. ♂ with a dot rather than a cross-bar) is an allograph.
