Resistance confronts IOF West Bank incursions with gunfire, explosives
The Israeli occupation forces continue to escalate their incursions into the cities of the West Bank, while the Palestinian Resistance confronts the daily aggressions.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - Tulkarm announced on Monday that its Resistance fighters targeted Israeli occupation forces with gunfire and explosive devices during their raid on the city of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank.
As part of the daily incursions into the West Bank cities, Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Nablus early Monday, carrying out raids and searching operations in several civilian homes.
Local sources mentioned that several Palestinian citizens were assaulted, detained, and subjected to field investigations by Israeli occupation forces during the raid on the city.
Israeli occupation forces also detained Ali al-Saadi, a student at Birzeit University from the Jenin refugee camp, as well as Palestinian youth Assem al-Arqawi from the city of Jenin, in two separate operations.
In a related context, security sources told the Palestinian news agency WAFA that Israeli occupation forces raided the villages of al-Jalamah, Arabbuna, Deir Ghazale, and Arana in the northeastern part of Jenin.
The raiding forces roamed the streets of these villages with military vehicles and launched flares into their skies, with no reported detainments.
Last, the Israeli Channel 7 reported, citing sources in the occupation army, that resistance operations in the occupied West Bank increased by 350% in 2023 compared to 2022.
The sources reported 608 resistance operations in the West Bank last year, compared to 170 similar operations in 2022.
Approximately 300% of the operations in 2023 were shooting incidents, marking the highest number since the Second Intifada.
According to Channel 7, the northern part of the West Bank has been particularly volatile this year. It noted that 50 shooting operations originated from Jenin since the beginning of 2023 until July of the same year.
