Amaranthus (Amaranth) is a genus of annual herb in the family Amaranthaceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, US Minor Outlying Islands, and Puerto Rico. They have capsule fruit.
