DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Half a dozen members of the Embry-Riddle men's soccer team received 2022 Academic All-District honors as announced by the College Sports Communicators. Eden Bokobza, Mattia Dabalá, Sandro Henning, Konstantin Kosoric, Amit Libgot, and Anthony Velez all earned the honor for the first time in their careers and became the first Eagles to receive the distinction since Tim-Frederik Lange in 2019.

This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. For a student-athlete to be included on the team, a 3.50 cumulative GPA is required. Additionally, the student-athlete must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games and is at least a sophomore athletically and academically. Programs are limited to only six nominations.

This is the third academic award for Bokobza after the sophomore striker was included in the Sunshine State Conference Commissioners Honor Roll and received the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award in 2021. The Omer, Israel, native sits at a 3.63 cumulative GPA as he pursues a degree in Business Administration. Bokobza finished the 2022 season as one of only four members of the Blue and Gold to play in all 15 matches. He accumulated four goals and nine points, both second most on the team. His goal in the 24th minute against Georgia Southwestern State proved to be the game winner for the Eagles.

Dabala caps off his career as an Eagle with his third academic honor. The senior also claimed the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and was included in the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2021. Majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies, Dabala excelled in the classroom with a 3.90 cumulative GPA and was a reliable midfielder on the pitch as he played in all 15 matches and was included in the starting 11 on 12 occasions.

A 3.84 cumulative GPA helped Henning, a Computational Mathematics major, earn his first Academic All-District selection. A two-time SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree and recipient of the 2021 D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, Henning played in 11 matches with nine starts and led the Eagles in goals in 2022 as the Frankfurt, Germany, native found the back of the net five times. His four successful penalty kicks tied for the second most in a single season in program history and are the seventh most in a career. One of those PKs proved to be the difference in Embry-Riddle's 1-0 win over Florida Memorial.

One of the most academically decorated student-athletes on the squad, Kosoric picked up his fifth academic award due to a 3.70 cumulative GPA in Business Administration. This is in addition to his two D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards and his three inclusions in the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. The junior was an eight-time starter and saw action in 14 matches in 2022. He managed to score against Stetson and earned his first career assist versus Nova Southeastern.

Libgot, a Business Administration major, grabs another academic honor after earning two, the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, in 2021. His 3.70 cumulative GPA paired with his one goal and one assist in six starts over 14 games played to help him receive his first Academic All-District accolade. The sophomore's pass up the field to Noah Sims with 36 seconds left against Florida Southern helped the Eagles steal a point against the Mocs.

Velez adds to his academic award collection of one D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award and two SSC Commissioner's Honor Rolls. In the classroom, the Aeronautical Science major maintained a 3.70 cumulative GPA alongside nine starts and 12 appearances. The Miami, Florida, native notched his first points of his Eagle career with assists against Stetson and Eckerd.

All six advance to the CSC Academic All-American ballot which will be announced on December 7.
