‘The Vampire Diaries’ Alum Steven R. McQueen Joins NBC’s ‘Chicago Fire’

The Vampire Diariesalum Steven R. McQueen has booked a recurring role on NBC’s Chicago Fire. McQueen plays the new candidate Jimmy Borelli, who makes a dramatic entrance on his first day of work and that doesn’t sit well with his boss, Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker).

McQueen is best known for his role as Jeremy Gilbert on The CW’s hit series The Vampire Diaries. He exited the show as a series regular last season. McQueen is repped by UTA and Risa Shapiro at MGMT Entertainment.

Wolf Films’ Danielle Gerber tweeted a pic with the news.

Chicago Fire is executive produced by Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, Danielle Gelber, Joe Chappelle, Arthur Forney and Peter Jankowski. The show is entering its fourth season on NBC, airing Tuesdays at 10 PM beginning October 13.
