Erect, broom-like, leafless shrub, 0.2-0.9 m high. Fl. yellow, Sep to Nov. Yellow sand, sandy gravelly clay. Undulating sandplains.
Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, glabrous; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 5-6 mm long, 0.4-0.8 mm wide, hairy, with simple hairs, revolute; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Pedicel present, 3.5-4 mm long, hairy. Calyx 7-7.5 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 14-16.5 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws absent, wings 12-13.5 mm long, not auriculate, keel 11-13 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, hairy at least in part. Stamens ten. Flowers in September, October and November. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Coolgardie, Avon Wheatbelt and Mallee IBRA regions.
