The tea ceremony is one of the most significant part reserved from a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony which enjoys a long tradition. The order of tea-serving  usually begins from parents, grandparents, grand-uncles and grand-aunties, uncles and aunties to elder brothers and sisters within each generation, dad’s relatives are served before mum’s relatives.The new couple serve the tea on their knees to show their respect and gratefulness for their parents.It is also considered an opportunity for parents to establish authority over the new wife.
