Rhododon ciliatus (Bentham) Epling. Carrizo Sandmint. Phen: May-Jul. Hab: Dry, sandy woodlands. Dist: Endemic to the dry sands, primarily of the Carrizo formation in e. TX.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Tharp (1945) regarded plants southeast of the Carrizo Sands, in Austin County (now also known from Harris, Montgomery, and Walker counties) as a separate species, Stachydeoma duvalii.

Synonymy: = K3, K4, Turner (1995c); < Rhododon ciliatus (Benth.) Epling – Tx; > Stachydeoma ciliata (Benth.) Small – Tharp (1945); > Stachydeoma duvali Tharp – Tharp (1945), orthographic variant; > Stachydeoma duvalii Tharp
