I had three types, different colors, of Lachenalia in a pot. We had a wet winter and only one kind, Lachenalia splendida, survived. I repotted it and some other Lachenalia I have this spring. They've gone dormant now. These are wonderful carefree plants, but beware: Gophers like them for breakfast, and they don't take to being really wet all winter.
