My aloe rebmanii also came to me unrooted and the leaves were almost jet black. Interesting to see how the colour is changing as the plant roots and settles in, Now a lot more green

I apologize for the quality of this photo. My phone screen is cracked in a thousand places, I have tape over it, & sometimes I can't tell what's a good picture & what isn't. At some point I am going to have to get a new phone but I keep putting it off. Anyway, I am not sure what this one is. Or where I got it. I had taken all my plants outside & put them on the back patio when it started to rain & then left them outside for several days afterwards. A lot of stuff burned & I've been busy cleaning up. Do you think that white spot is sunburn? It will not scrape off with my fingernail.

Kathy,
If I kept my plants inside under good conditions they look great but once out side with rain, super sun and heat and drought they get a little beat up. That don't brother me none. Also moving them around sometimes injures them and it doesn't show up for days later.
Yours looks a little sun burn. Plant look healthy and strong.

I agree. It would be similar to scar tissue. Probably from a sun burn. Although looking at it will irritate you, I would leave it alone.

Yes to the ID. One if my favorite Haworthias. It will develop many more plants freely. Hurray!

loving these flowers on aloe cv 'Cleopatra' as they seem to fade slower than other aloes . Often its only two at time looking good, but these seem to hang around looking OK

Just picked this plant up at Lowe's. It's labeled as star aloe coral fire. This is the website from the label but when you click the link from this link, a message pops up "oops, not found". It does say its a new introduction or something.

I did find more information here after a Google search.

3 different jucunda cuttings in different stages of rooting (same pot/exact same exposure), with 3 different color patterns.

Note how the degree of greenness correlates with the inflation of the succulent leaves.

Jucunda looks nice while in this rosette stage. I hate it when they mature into long bushes that fall over in the slightest breeze.

For what it's worth, jucunda never gets stemmy or unstable here. The stem is pretty wide for the size of the rosette and the leaves are pretty close together along it. When a plant gets big (I get rid of them at the 10 inch pot size) it's still a compact mound, with essentially zero flexibility in the stems.
