A Young Woman Finds Herself in a Chilling Situation in the Intense Trailer for NO EXIT
20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for its upcoming Hulu thriller No Exit, and it looks like a great and chilling movie! It’s based on the bestselling Taylor Adams novel of the same name, and the story follows a young woman who gets stranded at a rest stop during a blizzard with a group of strangers, and while there she discovers a young girl that is being held captive in a van.
Thus young woman finds herself in quite a predicament as she wants to save the girl, but she has no idea who she can and can’t trust in this group of strangers. This trailer does a great job of building the suspense. It did a great job of selling me on the movie, and it doesn’t give too much away.
The movie was directed by Damien Power (Killing Ground) from a screenplay by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man and the Wasp). It’s produced by Scott Frank (The Queen’s Gambit). When talking about the trailer, Power said:
"I think there are a few specific things I did not want in the trailer, which are not in the trailer. One, I think it's really a great trailer and is the kind of thing that I would watch and want to see that film. And two, I think that it gives you a pretty fair picture of what the film is like, an intense, suspenseful, grounded thriller. So yeah, I'm really pleased with it.
"I think trailers are really hard, maybe harder than films. I watch trailers all the time. if there's a new trailer coming up, I watch it. And I agree, some of them are great but they tell me too much. And some of them are great for not-so-great films. I think it's a real art."
The movie stars Havana Rose Liu (Mayday) in the role of Darby, “a young woman en route to a family emergency who is stranded by a blizzard and forced to find shelter at a highway rest area with a group of strangers. When she stumbles across an abducted girl in a van in the parking lot, it sets her on a terrifying life-or-death struggle to discover who among them is the kidnapper.”
The film also stars Danny Ramirez (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Top Gun: Maverick), David Rysdahl (Nine Days), Dale Dickey (Winter’s Bone), Mila Harris (Young Dylan), and Dennis Haysbert (Breakthrough).
No Exit is set to debut exclusively on Hulu on February 25th.
