Trailer for Netflix's Upcoming Animated Movie MARMADUKE Starring Pete Davidson and J.K. Simmons

A poster and trailer have been released for the Netflix movie Marmaduke, which follows the bumbling Great Dane dog that we know and love from the newspaper comic strip of our youth, drawn by Brad Anderson. The film comes from director and VFX artist Mark A.Z. Dippé (Herbie Hancock, Spawn, The Boxcar Children), with co-directors Matt Philip Whelan and Youngki Lee. The screenplay was written by Byron Kavanagh.

The film features the voices of Pete Davidson as Marmaduke, with Jason Anthony, J.K. Simmons, David Koechner, Shelby Young, and Stephen Stanton.

Here’s the synopsis:

America's most playful pooch has been delighting fans since 1954. The lovely Great Dane appears in more than 660 newspapers, in over twenty different countries worldwide. Marmaduke epitomizes the overgrown lapdog, with an irascible streak and a penchant for mischief that is tempered with a deep sense of love and responsibility for his family. This new version is set in the world of elite dog shows, rife divas, rivalries and slapstick comedy.

This looks super cheesy, but it also looks like something my kids will get a kick out of. Check out the trailer and poster below, and watch Marmaduke on Netflix next month.
