Abstract :
Fifteen specimens (56.4-112.9 mm standard length) of Aseraggodes kobensis (Steindachner, 1896) were collected from Malaysia. This species was previously known from southern Japan to the Gulf of Thailand and western India, and the new records expand its range south in the Western Pacific by about 750 km. A detailed description is given for the specimens, the first collected from Malaysian waters. Keywords Biogeography, distribution, demersal fish, marine fish, range extension, South China Sea.
