Named MVP of the Guardians Classic after leading team past Notre Dame in Guardians Classic championship game with 24 points and 10 rebounds. One of the greatest shooters in NCAA history, he owns the Creighton and MVC record with 371 career three-pointers, which is tied for sixth in NCAA history. Also ranks 14th in NCAA history with 45.3% accuracy and tops among players 6-7 or taller all-time. Set Creighton single-season records for three-pointers made (129), three-point accuracy (.480) and free throw accuracy (.908) while also leading team in scoring (17.8), rebounding (6.4) and steals (1.5). His 129 treys ranked 15th in NCAA single-season history. Ranked among the top 10 nationally in three-pointers made, three-point accuracy and free throw accuracy in 2002-03. Only player in Creighton history to appear in four consecutive NCAA Tournaments and to beat rival Nebraska four times. Helped lead Creighton to 99 wins in the last four years, easily the best span in school history. Played his best in big games, with seven three-pointers vs. Fresno State and Notre Dame, eight vs. Xavier and five in NCAA Tournament game vs. Central Michigan. As a junior, led Creighton in scoring (15.1), rebounding (5.5), assists (3.3) and steals (1.6) while earning MVC Player of the Year and honorable-mention All-America honors. Ranked in the top-15 in 11-of-12 MVC categories. Ranked 12th nationally in free throw percentage (89.0) and 41st in three-point percentage (42.9) while leading Jays to MVC regular-season and Tournament titles. Played 24 minutes vs. Northern Iowa, grabbing nine rebounds, three steals and three assists without a field goal attempt.
As a sophomore, was a second-team all-MVC pick while leading the league champion Jays with 14.6 points per game and hitting a then-record 100 three-pointers while ranking 12th nationally with 45.2 percent accuracy from downtown. Named to the MVC’s All-Tournament team.
As a freshman, he was named to the MVC’s All-Bench team, All-Freshman team and All-Newcomer team while averaging 8.8 points per game. Came off the bench in all but one game, hitting 43.4 percent of his three-pointers and 89.5 percent at the charity stripe.
Finished his Creighton career fourth all-time in scoring (1,801), first in three-pointers made (371), first in three-point attempts (819), first in three-point accuracy (45.3), first in free throw accuracy (89.1), eighth in assists (294), ninth in blocked shots (58) and fourth in steals (172).
