@ansho well the word ‘deem’ means that it’s been chose or regarded as something, so if someone has ‘deemed it appropriate’, someone has chosen that they think it is suitable to that contextual situation. Therefore ‘deem necessary’ means someone has chosen that it is crucial and very much required to that situation. I hope that helps? :)

"Deem appropriate" is to think that something is appropriate
I deem this argument is appropriate.
It's the same case with "deem necessary"
I deem that is necessary to go there.
Necessary = necesario
Appropriate = apropiado

@eleanor_ thank you, it certainly helps, the only question is why don’t we use think instead ( I think this is appropriate) is there any situation where we should use this particular word?

@ansho well I would say ‘deem’ has more power behind it, like you have made a strong decision, whereas ‘I think that’ has less power. For example, if you got in trouble at school, your headteacher may say ‘I deem that very inappropriate’, as they’re coming from a place of authority. Lol I hope that example helps
