Usually for “after one month “ we don’t write it that way because we know that you’re speaking about a month which is singular
So you would say “after a month “ and “a month later “
“After a month” sounds more natural than “a month later “ when speaking.
After a month I will be able to go on vacation.
A month later, Rachel went to Europe for the holidays.
(A month later I see it more in writing than speaking. )
