Pensare is a verb (infinite tense) that means “to think”.

Parere could be both a verb (infinite tense) that means “to seem/appear” or “to believe/think” and a noun that means “opinion”.

Parere sarebbe dare un tuo consiglio, un parere appunto a una persona. Per esempio: a mio parere sarebbe meglio comprare quel maglione.
Per spiegare il termine pensare ti dirò direttamente un esempio: il cervello: se lo coltivi funziona. Se lo lasci andare e lo metti in pensione si indebolisce. La sua plasticità è formidabile. Per questo bisogna continuare a pensare. Spero di esserti stata di aiuto.
