Morphology
It is a common weed occurring in roadsides, wastelands. Shrub attaining a height of 27-30 cm. Stem glabrous, greenish, round. Leaves glabrous, pinnately compound, stipulate, opposite, 7-12 pairs of leaflet, 3.5×1.5 cm, ovate- lanceolate, margin entire, leaf rachis 10-15 cm long, petiole 1.2cm long, primary vein 1, lateral vein 6-10 pairs per leaflet. Inflorescence short axillary cyme and terminal few flowered panicle. Flower bracteate, bract ovate-lanceolate, 4-5mm long, peduncle 1-2cm long. Sepals 5 short, pubescent, connate at the base, 0.5×0.3cm, pentamerous, greenish-yellow. Petals 5 bright yellow, obovate, pentamerous, 1×0.5cm, shortly clawed. Androecium stamen 10, 3 staminoids, 2-4mm long, remaining 7 are perfect, 3 long and 4 short, 4-6mm long filament, 3-4mm long anther. Gynoecium carpel 1, monocarpellary, ovary pubescent, 1-1.2cm long, light green, swallon. Fruit pods swallon, slightly curved, glabrous, 4-5 cm long, seeds numerous, ovoid
