Product Returns: In accordance with FDA and ISO Regulations, all product returns must include a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA) which can be obtained by contacting our Customer Service Department. Products may be returned for credit within 30 days from invoice date. Returns must meet quality inspection standards, appearance and physical count. After 31 days and up to 60 days from the invoice date, a request for return will be evaluated by a Customer Service Representative as a courtesy to our customer. For returns during the 31-60 day period products that are accepted for return may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Custom imprint orders, hot stamped orders and pre-welded band assemblies are not accepted for return/credit. No return or credit will be issued for products over 60 days from invoice date.

The unique mechanism inside the door of the bracket allows the door to actually “glide open” and “glide closed” once the door travels 50% in either direction. As with the Norris 20/26® Brackets, the Norris Extra Broad wires are a break from convention and take what we know about expanded arches and aesthetic expression to a whole new level. Once again, Dr. Robert “Tito” Norris learned from observation and trial and error, then synthesized what he experienced from the use of existing broad arch forms into the extra broad arch form we have now developed. A non-coordinated arch makes it possible to treat both the maxilla and mandible with the same form. Thirty percent broader than the broadest arch on the market, this extra broad arch achieves a number of key efficiencies and effects: it affords maximum space as it expresses each tooth to its full outer- most potential; it gains maximum leveling and alignment as the teeth are afforded a greater range of motion; it influences the musculature of the surrounding soft tissue earlier in preparation for subsequent desired reprogramming; and it introduces a collaborative dynamic sooner between the bracket and the wire.

Throughout the later working and finishing stages of treatment, a “Rounded” Rectangular (19×25) arch wire is introduced (yet another DynaFlex® exclusive) that makes insertion, clip closure, and seating smoother than ever. Norris Extra Broad Wires are the perfect complement in how they fully express the torque and tip of the bracket over existing passive systems, yet without the binding of other higher frictional systems. Most importantly, however, is how they both fit to produce broader, more expressive smiles than anything else available today.

The Norris Extra Broad Archwires are 30% broader than the broadest arch on the market. This extra broad arch achieves a number of key efficiencies and effects:

• Appointment 1: Brackets were indirectly bonded at initial appointment. Norris Extra Broad, .014” NiTi.

• Appointment 3: Norris Extra Broad, .019 x .025” NiTi. Strong tongue pushed the mandibular anterior teeth into an anterior cross-bite. Mandibular lingual bite turbos & elastic chains were placed to assist in re-capturing positive overjet.

Ensuring full control, torque is built into the base of each bracket and anatomically contoured (mesial-distal/occlusalgingival) for accurate placement on each tooth. Brackets are engineered with precise angulation, placing the long axis of the root distal to the occlusal portion of the crown, allowing all the roots to align parallel. The anatomical contoured design allows precise bracket placement with all slots aligning at the end of the treatment. As with the Norris 20/26® Brackets, the Norris Extra Broad wires are a break from convention and take what we know about expanded arches and aesthetic expression to a whole new level. Once again, Dr. Robert “Tito” Norris learned from observation and trial and error, then synthesized what he experienced from the use of existing broad arch forms into the extra broad arch form we have now developed. A non-coordinated arch makes it possible to treat both the maxilla and mandible with the same form. In this age in which we consolidate as many steps as we can in accomplishing a task, it seems only logical that the next step in bonding is to try to consolidate the etch, rinse, and sealant process into one step. This would be time- as well as cost-effective. This is exactly what you get with our new S.E.P (Self-Etching Primer) Kit. This product consists of two components: an acid etch and a monomer primer. After mixing the two components together this system requires you to rub the material into the tooth for 5 seconds, then deliver two bursts of air to drive off the excess etchant and dry the primer. Olympus Orthodontic Instrument Sterilization Instructions

Instrument Sterilization:

Inspect, clean, and sterilize before each use. Use steam sterilize for at least 4 minutes at 270 ° F/132 ° C or 30 minutes at 250 ° F/121 ° C. Do not use the high pressure steam sterilization with the medicine made of alcoholic content. Use recommended chemicals only. Hinged instruments must be cleaned and sterilized in the open position. Clean instruments thoroughly, rinse and dry before sterilizing. Remove instruments immediately when cycle is complete to avoid possible signs of corrosion or discoloration.

Ultrasonic Cleaning:

Ultrasonic cleaning of cutting pliers is not recommended, this can dull or damage cutters. If ultrasonic cleaning is chosen, follow equipment manufacturer’s recommended immersion schedule. Rinse instruments with high volume water before sterilizing. Air and towel dry instruments before sterilizing.

Lubrication:

To increase life of instruments, regular lubrication is recommended.

Always lubricate after sterilization. One drop or a light spray is sufficient. Wipe off excessive lubricant. Sticky Joints is most common problem occurs due to less lubrication.

Sharpening:

Regular sharpening of orthodontic cutting pliers increase its life and ability to cut efficiently. Frequency of sharpening depends on: the frequency of use, as well as, the types and diameters of wires on which the cutter is being used. Check cutters frequently to assess if sharpening is needed.

Corrosion or Discoloration:

Even orthodontic instruments are made with highest quality surgical grade stainless steel which protect instruments from rust, but care is key factor for long life of instruments and protection from rust or oxidation. You can prevent corrosion problems by properly following all manufacturers recommendations. Discoloration of instruments, brown or yellow stains is the major cause if instruments are not dry after sterilization, not well cleaned or not kept in dry place. Discoloration may appear that may not be corrosion and can be removed by scrubbing with light wool saturate. Keep instruments in protective and dry case when not in use. It is recommended that a corroded instrument be replaced or through away. Never mix a corroded instrument with new instruments as oxidation may be spread to new instruments.

Orthodontic Instrument Sterilization Instructions

Instrument Sterilization:

Inspect, clean, and sterilize before each use. Use steam sterilize for at least 4 minutes at 270°F/132°C or 30 minutes at 250°F/121°C. Do not use the high pressure steam sterilization with the medicine made of alcoholic content.

§ Use recommended chemicals only.

§ Hinged instruments must be cleaned and sterilized in the open position.

§ Clean instruments thoroughly, rinse and dry before sterilizing.

§ Remove instruments immediately when cycle is complete to avoid possible signs of corrosion or discoloration.

Ultrasonic Cleaning:

Ultrasonic cleaning of cutting pliers is not recommended, this can dull or damage cutters. If ultrasonic cleaning is chosen, follow equipment manufacturer’s recommended immersion schedule. Rinse instruments with high volume water before sterilizing. Air and towel dry instruments before sterilizing.

Lubrication:

To increase life of instruments, regular lubrication is recommended.

§ Always lubricate after sterilization.

§ One drop or a light spray is sufficient.

§ Wipe off excessive lubricant.

§ Sticky Joints is most common problem occurs due to less lubrication.

Sharpening:

Regular sharpening of orthodontic cutting pliers increase its life and ability to cut efficiently. Frequency of sharpening depends on: the frequency of use, as well as, the types and diameters of wires on which the cutter is being used. Check cutters frequently to assess if sharpening is needed.

Corrosion or Discoloration:

Even orthodontic instruments are made with highest quality surgical grade stainless steel which protect instruments from rust, but care is key factor for long life of instruments and protection from rust or oxidation. You can prevent corrosion problems by properly following all manufacturers recommendations. Discoloration of instruments, brown or yellow stains is the major cause if instruments are not dry after sterilization, not well cleaned or not kept in dry place. Discoloration may appear that may not be corrosion and can be removed by scrubbing with light wool saturate. Keep instruments in protective and dry case when not in use. It is recommended that a corroded instrument be replaced or through away. Never mix a corroded instrument with new instruments as oxidation may be spread to new instruments.
