SDF-1 マクロス。1/5000スケール、イマイから。
Here she is, the star of the show. The SDF-1 Macross, TV version. This is a 1/5000 scale plastic kit from Imai. From the Japanese animation “Super Dimensional Fortress Macross”.
I still like what it’s originally called after it crashed on Earth. The ASS-1.
This is an old kit, but it went together pretty well for being so old. The only decals I used was the “101” on the Prometheus, and the nameplate on the display stand.
Why didn’t I build the new version that Hasegawa put out a few years back? Because Hasegawa screwed up bad on the design. Basically, all they did was to put the Prometheus and Daedalus (the two ships) on the Movie version, and add a new paint scheme. The designs are actually very different from one another, and that has the honor of being the only Hasegawa Macross kit that I’ve canceled my pre-order for. Hasegawa is releasing an attack mode (this is cruiser mode) with the corrected parts. Wonder if they’ll add the corrected bits to the incorrect cruiser, and re-release it.
This kit was completed on April 7th, 2018.
