The Coronation of Jordan’s First King
Abdullah bin Al Hussein, then Emir of Transjordan (1921-1946) was crowned as King Abdullah I in Amman, Jordan on 25 May, 1946, the same day Transjordan gained independence from Britain.
At the coronation of King Abdullah I (far right) were Emir Abdul Illah (Regent of Iraq), and Emir Naif (his youngest son)
