I completed Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida. I specialize in providing services for adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and addiction. I also work with patients challenged by stressor-related factors during times of transition such as the termination of a romantic relationship, marital problems, bereavement, and business difficulties. With additional training and experiencing in health psychology, I seek to assist individuals with chronic medical conditions and disordered eating behaviors, including obesity and postoperative bariatric patients.

I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Goodman Psychological Services Center in Miami, Florida and my postdoctoral fellowship at American Addiction Centers in West Palm Beach, Florida. With comprehensive training in conducting psychological and psychoeducational evaluations for individuals across the lifespan, I have and continue to provide short- and long-term psychotherapy for culturally diverse adults and individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders.

With experience in program development, I created and implemented a postoperative bariatric multidisciplinary program design entitled,"Eating To Live Not Living To Eat,” to address the needs of an underserved population while at the Goodman Psychological Services Center. While at the American Addiction Centers, I became the primary psychologist for a women's treatment track following my development of a program design to address the specific needs of women struggling with co-occurring disorders.

Throughout my career, I have worked in homeless shelters, community mental health clinics, group practices, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, acute rehabilitation centers, and nursing facilities, finding great satisfaction in working with a variety of individuals and facing varying difficulties. Prior to relocating to the West Coast of Florida, I was in private practice in Boca Raton, Florida and the clinical director of two residential chemical dependency facilities in Delray Beach, Florida.

I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of the individual in a safe and supportive setting that promotes exploration, acceptance, and change. I work collaboratively with my patients to develop a treatment plan that addresses their problems effectively. We jointly achieve treatment goals by utilizing evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). As someone who grew up in the Tampa Bay Area, I am excited to bring all of my clinical experience back home and to serve the needs of our community!
