Introduced woody deciduous vine to 6m tall, grown as an ornamental. Leaves alternating up the stems, like those of grape vines, with cordate lobes at the bases, about 9cm long, 12cm wide, sometimes smaller, sparsely hairy, edges lobed and toothed, tips pointed. Flowers small (less than 3mm across) greenish white to pale green, with 5 petals, in open clusters. Ripe berries pale green, turquoise to blue, lilac to purple, pink, or white, hard, inedible, about 5-6mm in diameter. One record from near Monak NSW in 1990. An invasive weed in other countries. Previously Ampelopsis brevipedunculata.
