Notes

Perennial grass to 90cm tall. Leaves with a sheath at the base. Ligule a fringe of hairs. Leaves 10-21cm ong, 2-4mm wide, flat, threadlike, rolled, or edges rolled in, hairless except for a tuft of hairs at the sheath opening, slightly rough on the upper surface and edges, tapering to a point.  Spikelets purplish green, 3-20mm long. Seeds with 0 awn. Mature seed groups cylindrical, interrupted.
