Quick Overview:

A garden cross between Eleagnus pungens and Eleagnus macrophylla, this silvery-leafed shrub grows 8′-10′ ft high and wide making it a good choice for a background, screening shrub, or windbreak.  Also can be pruned as a hedge.  Fast growing and very tolerant of soil types (except poorly drained) and light conditions (sun to shade.)  Inconspicuous, but highly fragrant, flowers in autumn followed by small edible drupes which ripen in spring.
