Quick Overview:

Oenanthe (sometimes commonly called flamingo plant) is a low-growing ground cover which typically grows 9-16″ tall. Features pinnate, tricolor foliage (bluish green edged in pink and white), with leaflets sometimes lobed and irregularly toothed. Tiny, creamy white flowers in umbels appear in mid-summer. Very similar in appearance and habit to Aegopodium podagraria (bishop’s weed), except not as invasive and leaf variegation has more color. Water celery is best enjoyed in a biofilter or bog filter or to soften a stone edge. Water celery is one of the first plants to start taking in nutrients before the ice even melts off the water keeping your pond cleaner. The edible stems add a peppery, celery-like zing to salads.
