Description :

Sub-oval disc and pointed snout, narrow denticle bands in adults; Tail short with row of enlarged spear-shaped thorns; ridge like ventral foldon tail and no dorsal fold, and dorsal surface plain coloured with pale margins; Snout long, broadly concave with distinct apical lobe, anterior margins strongly concave; Eyes small, protruding slightly, mouth arched; Lower jaw arched with central concavity. Mid-shoulder denticle smal, skin smooth outside denticle band; one to three caudal stings; Dorsal surface uniform dark brownish, margin of disc pale, tail forward of caudal sting dark brown above and white below, uniform brownish beyond sting. Ventral surface white, disc margins dusky
