Abstract

A 42-year-old male presented with purple-black lesions on the tip of the toes (Fig. 22.1) with ischemic pain for 8 months. He was a heavy smoker, with no history of hyperlipidemia or atherosclerosis. Systemic examination was unremarkable. Acral necrosis was unrelated to cold exposure.
