Abstract

A 7-month-old boy had grown appropriately until 3 months of age when his weight dropped from the fiftieth percentile to the fifth percentile over 2 months despite adequate caloric intake. He had multiple episodes of emesis and was diagnosed with failure to thrive. His gastrointestinal evaluation was normal. At 6 months of age, he developed a constant, monocular nystagmus in the right eye. He was a full-term product of a normal pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
