Distribution of Aegina citrea in British Columbia in British Columbia

Introduction


This a pelagic species of jelly and is cosmopolitan in distribution, found in the Antarctic, Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans where it can be found in brackish waters at a depth range of 3 - 2800 m (Sealifebase 2011). It has 4 tentacles, and is an active swimmer; max length : 5.0 cm WD male/unsexed (Sealifebase 2011).
