This is my first time ordering at this cafe as I'm not a Marion local but love the place itself. I've heard a lot of great things about the coffee here and there over the years and couldn't pass by trying it myself one day shopping on my own.

I ordered a long black mug with a dash of cold milk. It was amazing! It wasn't scorching hot as what they usually can be so was able to drink it shortly after. It was quite strong tasting which is what I like, with smooth and rich overtones. It was no way bitter or sour or weak as what you can find sometimes with ordinary coffee houses. So in that case I didn't need to add much milk at all, neither any sugar or sweeteners. All I ordered was a coffee so that's all I can critique, and it was absolutely top notch.

In terms of the cafe itself it's nicely laid out with ample seating. They're going for the real rustic look with dark wooden features throughout, which is a favourite of mine, although I see a few things seem dated and plain and could do with some touching up. They display several large jars and canisters where they have large varieties of different flavoured coffee beans and teas, which I can see are for wholesale. They have a couple display fridges where they show a very large variety of different sweet and savoury foods. I see muffins, slices, biscuits, cakes, tarts, banana bread... As well as other things like croissants, quiches and fresh rolls.

All in all I'm impressed. This would be my number one preference for a coffee when stopping here on a regular day. Well worth a try.

If you want to go somewhere for lunch away from the hussle and bustle of Westfield Marion then this is the place for you. Perfect for morning tea with their extensive cake, muffins, slice and cookies. Paired with their large beverage selection, its a match made in heaven. Wanting something a bit more for lunch you will have plenty to choose from also. Made to order sandwiches, wraps etc or quiche n salad, doorstops and filo parcels.
Its order at the counter service with plenty of inside the cafe plus outside in the mall seating to enjoy.
Another serice they offer is that you can buy your fresh ground coffee beans or whole beans and lose leaf tea. Many different flavours and strengths to enjoy at home.
Sorry we didnt take photos!! We must of been hungry! Recommend the Hawaiian doorstop and quiche Lorraine with a side salad accompanied with a couple skim milk caps please

The Scenario : It's Christmas Eve and the shops have been open for 36 hours. I realise I need a few last minute grocery supplies and the closest supermarket is at Marion Westfield.

The State of Mind : I really don't want to fight through the last minute crowds but at least I'll be able to grab a coffee to get rid of the remaining effects of last night's champagne. Actually it's a little more desperate than that. I need coffee and I don't care what the coffee is like. Just give me a café, a seat and someone who will make me a coffee and I'm there.

The Outcome : Jackpot! I stumble upon Ang's Café at Marion Westfield and have unknowingly discovered a gem of a coffee shop that I'm sure to visit again. Having made purchases at the Seafood shop on one side of Ang's and the Health Food Shop on the other, I just couldn't be bothered walking to any of my normal haunts so in I went only to discover this place was a WINNER. After I opened my eyes and looked properly at Ang's I realised they actually sell coffee beans and blends and specialise in coffee and tea. They also have a selection of food on offer but I have to admit I didn't try anything in that department. Everything looked fresh and tasty though. What I can vouch for is that this place knows their beans and to my neverending surprise I enjoyed a great cup of coffee.

Ang's proffers gourmet grounds of coffee from the western end of Marion Shopping Centre. Within the Marion shopping centre there are two types of cafe, chain cafes and boutique, and Ang's is the latter. Set appropriately amongst the fresh produce stores, if you want quality coffee, this is the place to head to whether you're after sharing a cuppa with a mate in store, or taking home bags of freshly ground beans.
Bags of coffee and coffee related paraphernalia are abundant and inexpensive, but if none of that is your bag, there is also tea on offer.

Furniture is always kept clean by the vigilant and friendly staff, and seats inside the pleasant smelling store are comfortable. There are also tables outside the front of the store, in a prime position to sneakily people watch as they pick up their cheeses, fruit, baked goods, and meat from nearby stores.

There are a couple of quirky things that set Ang's apart from other cafes, and because of this it is my choice for coffee in Marion as it sits outside of the usual mould. First of all, the store is known for its speciality coffee, many options of which you can purchase at the store in the form of beans. They are set up in a pick and mix sort of arrangement and although I don't know how much speciality coffee should cost it seemed priced consistently.

The prices are average along with the beverage and food options which include a big display cabinet full of sweet dessert and biscuit options and savoury items including foccacias and sandwiches. My coffee was delivered very promptly and was pretty good. The ambience is nice despite being in a noisy plaza, but the clientele is pretty old. There is an "outdoor" area in the middle of the walking aisle in the mall but its poky and noisy so best to head inside.

Angs is without a doubt some of the best food and coffee in SA, and definitely best by far in marion. Quick & friendly. 10/10 :)
