Benziger Family Winery

What an amazing experience!
I was lucky enough to have a friend create an itinerary for my group while in Napa, I wasn't super what exactly our tour was going to include. I was blown away by the experience we had!
We opted for the tribute estate tour and tasting. This included a tram tour where we were driven around the estate and got to learn SO much about the vineyard, family history, and how everything is organic. Benziger is basically its own ecosystem which is so cool!
We had some tastings on the tram which was nice and added to the pleasant surroundings. This tour included us stopping by the large machines that processes the grapes, as well as the wine cave. It's massive and really neat to see. Wine barrels for DAYS!
The tour ended with a cheese and wine pairing (my two favorite things!). The education from our tour guide (she was fabulous) was so appreciated and was great for beginners like myself learning about wine. I discovered some new favorites and am so excited to keep my eyes out for it in St. Louis.
They also have a really cool membership you can be apart of, which allows you to get discounts and wine shipped to you.
We ended our experience in the gift shop which was full of jewelry, snacks, drinks, and other great gifting items.
Definitely recommend springing for the estate tour and tasting!

By far one of the best and most knowledgable wine tours I've ever experienced. We signed up for the tram tour which takes you through their historic grounds, and you learn the progression of how this winery became the sustainable company they are today.
The views are reminiscent of hawaii, as you see the green volcano top.
Our tour guide Dona was a hoot. She let us sample wines on the tour, shared inside stories and info, and took our group photos.
We followed the tour with a sit down tasting...which was a pleasant surprise to me!
All the wine paired with cheese and crackeres and fruit was incredible. I wished the experience never ended. Their Malbec is 100% my favorite wine of all time.

I fear I won't ever have better wine in my life.

I did a deluxe tasting with friends here at Benziger Family Winery, which included a driven guided tour and cheese & wine pairing and tasting. This was my favorite tour when I visited Napa! This winery has so much history and cares so deeply for how they make their wines. It's such a strenuous and long process. It was so intriguing hearing all about it from our wonderful wine expert and tour guide.

The grounds were absolutely beautiful, I couldn't stop taking pictures (as you can see). I can't say enough how much I learned about everything that goes into making their wine and how everything has a purpose (even anything ecosystem related like the bugs, birds, animals, and weather that play a role into their wine making process).

The employees here were simply incredible too. I loved this tour and winery so much, I easily recommend it to others! Oh, and yes, the wine was freaking fantastic.

Benziger is an extremely beautiful sprawling vineyard located in a quiet and quaint town of Glen Ellen, CA. The drive to the vines and the tasting room is a beautiful experience.. with vineyards spread on both sides. The landscaping is done artistically. The tasting experience was nice, we were served a Rosè, a Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a variety of Pinot Noirs .. which are all organically produced and are also biodynamically prepared. A must try experience.

I absolutely loved my tasting today at Benziger! The flight that we tasted was so delicious & now I have a couple different favorite wines to buy! Our host Karen was absolutely amazing with the tasting and very informative. She was so awesome & friendly. This was my first time visiting & my friend also liked it too. I will be back in the summer when my allergies are gone.

This was our last winery for the day while visiting Sonoma with the ladies in my family, and what a beautiful winery to end at! It is definitely a bit of a drive to find it, but once we found it, we were blown away by the incredible views.

We had a tasting booked out in the patio area. There was really only one other table there, but it felt like when we arrived, they were trying to hurry us a bit. We were a few minutes late, so not sure why, but it was okay! The rest of the time was incredibly enjoyable!! And the service was really stellar. We all did the tasting and took in the incredible views. I believe they have guided tours as well, but we're Italian and we gab, so we just opted for the tasting haha.

The wines were so good. Probably some of my favorite of the trip! I believe they also had a little store where you could purchase some items, too, so we got some truffle chips with our wine. Delicious!

I would definitely recommend this winery and sitting out on the patio area. Again, absolutely incredible views and this winery did not dissapoint!

The ambiance was incredible! Absolutely gorgeous! The food and service received today was impeccable! During my vacay back to my 2nd home (in CA), my son, took us this is magical place today! We enjoyed a fun and informative wine tasting sess with Jim, great food, and great conversation!

Benziger needs to be on everyone's list when visiting the area. So many good things to say! I booked a tractor tram tour for my husband and I to celebrate my birthday. It was a warm day in July so it was nice to be driven around and not have to walk in the heat. We learned SO much about wine and the way they run their biodynamic winery. I so appreciate how much the care about the environment and their sustainability efforts. This winery cares about every detail, from the taste of the wine to the soil their plants are in. The wines were delicious, our tour guide was great, and he made everyone sing for my birthday which was a fun treat. Beautiful grounds and views on the property and lots of options to enjoy some wine, whether that's a tour and a tasting or hanging out on their patio. A great place to spend a day!

You need to drive in a bit to find this place. Beautiful winery with a lot of colorful flowers and plants and birds around. They have 1 EV charger available.
It wasn't busy when we went at 1:30pm on a Sat.
My favorite of the tasting was the 3 blocks wine. Jammy, bold, and well priced.
Note that they don't sell any food so don't come on an empty stomach!

I had an amazing time on the tribute tour! I really liked how intimate it was because it was a smaller group. I'm not super saavy about wine but I learned so much about biodynamic wine. Mike was a funny and great tour guide!

I understand why Sonoma is the crown jewel of wine in the US now! It seriously is the closest I've had to wine over in europe!
